Coloured pencils! I am fighting my phobia

John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness (Torchwood). Wanted to draw another picture of him. No reason

I just like to draw the randomest and pointless things. To me it's not so much about what I draw, it's just the process of it is so enjoyable.

The ref I used had a sort of grey gamma and I thought I could try to draw it in colour. The skin tone was a real challenge. How do you select pencils for a shade you can't even name? Ended up using warm grey and a colour called "storm"

Used Derwent Graphitint, Drawing and Watercolour pencils; then Lyra Watercolour and Faber-Castelle watercolour pencils. And not a drop of water

Strangely enough I'm more happy with how the skin tone came out compared to the clothes, hair and bg.
